blanketBlankets can be any fabric and color….be creative!! They don’t have to be 15″ squared…that is just an example. The blankets should just be small enough that an infant can grasp the blanket and carry it with them. You aren’t required to use any batting, binding, or particular designs. You can use your imagination and make whatever you want. I have received small quilts with batting, fleece blankets with tied edges, and blankets with two pieces of fabric sewn directly together with no batting. All donations are greatly appreciated!!! The children are just happy to receive these little gifts from our troops.

The camouflage “Binky” heart will be attached by The Binky Brigade before it is shipped overseas. Below are some examples of blankets that have already been sent to Iraq. If you can’t sew that’s okay too. Fleece tie blanket will work just as well!!

I’m looking for deployed troops who would like to distribute blankets in Iraq and Afghanistan. If you know of anyone who might be interested please contact us.
